Our students would love to “see” you! Employer Introduction Videos are a simple way to build your brand awareness and let students know what your company is up to! Film a short video (informal is preffered!) and we will post it to our Handshake Resource library for students to access.

See detailed steps below. 

  • Video should be 2-5 minutes in length (shorter is better)
  • We recommend you include the following talking points:
    • What your company does
    • Who you are
    • What you look for in candidates 
    • What you are hiring for (Please include website links or where to find your opportunities)
    • Timeline of your hiring 
    • Contact information of someone they can reach out to follow up
    • Action item (What do you want the student to do when they see your video? Add you on LinkedIn? Email you a resume? Apply on Handshake? 
  • Make sure:
    • Your video is working properly
    • Background is non-distracting 
    • You speak clearly (not too fast, not too slow) 
    • You include all of the talking points above
  • Logistics:
    • Record using a phone or computer, just make sure to keep the same screen orientation throughout your video
    • Phone = vertical, computer = horizontal
    • Save your recording as CompanyName_EmployerIntroVideo_Date
    • Please upload your video directly to THIS DROPBOX LINK
    • You will receive an email within a week confirming your submission that includes a link to your video
      • In this email, please respond with the expiration date of your video, or we will refresh these at the end of the semester
